Time to make a plan

So here we are. One week before Thanksgiving. By now, I’m sure you know what your plan is for your day whether you’re going to someone else’s house or they’re coming to yours. You already know your menu, your grocery list and the store you’re getting it from. Don’t forget to give yourself a break! It’s a lot of work! Your guests don’t need to come empty handed. Have someone bring the salad, the rolls, beverage, desserts, cranberry sauce, etc. There’s still plenty of time to reach out and have them bring something- even if it’s not homemade. And if your family splits the leftovers, have someone bring some containers to divvy it up. Also, in my family, the cook did not do the dishes. Even if I went to someone else’s house, I did the dishes there. What better way to show your appreciation for the cook than to make sure that they can relax after a job well done?
